A republic-wide full contact karate seminar was successfully organized by the leadership of the Azerbaijan Karate Federation and the "KWU-WFKF" association on May 28 - Republic Day.
Idman.biz reports that about 400 karate fighters from different regions of the country participated in the event.
The seminar started with the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the memory of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland was commemorated with a minute of silence.
Speaking at the official opening of the event, Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Karate Federation Fuzuli Musayev, greeting the participants on behalf of the AKF President, said that it is a great honor to come together at the magnificent seminar dedicated to May 28 - Republic Day: "The independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan is a source of pride for each of us. We must contribute to the protection and development of this independence not only on the front, but also in sports. Karate is not only a sport, but also a way of life. Through this art, we instill both spiritual and physical strength in our youth.
As the Azerbaijan Karate Federation, our goal is not only sports achievements, but also to support the upbringing of healthy, patriotic youth. I congratulate every karate fighter participating in today's seminar and wish them success. May our independence last forever."
Then, Secretary General of AKF and Chairman of the "KWU-WFKF" association Gabil Sayadov thanked the federation management and participants for their support in organizing the event. He emphasized that such seminars are important in terms of the development of young athletes and their worthy representation of our country in the international arena.
The practical part of the seminar was carried out under the leadership of organization representatives Hamlet Alili, Rza Mustafayev, Vidadi Khalil, Rasim Ogniev, Anar Mammadov and other experienced specialists. During the training, participants were taught various technical and tactical elements, and new methodological approaches were applied.
At the end of the event, about 100 karate fighters took exams for various kyu degrees and demonstrated their knowledge and skills. The exams were objectively evaluated by a professional judging panel.
The Azerbaijan Karate Federation states that such events will continue consistently in the future and comprehensive support will be provided to the development of all styles of karate in the country.
