Oleksandr Usyk's team, the undisputed world heavyweight champion, is in talks for his debut in mixed martial arts.
Idman.biz reports that the Ukrainian boxer's director, Sergey Lapin, has confirmed the possibility of a fight with American blogger and professional boxer Jake Paul according to MMA rules.
According to Lapin, discussions have already begun and the potential date is the first months of 2026: "We are considering options that are interesting both from a sporting point of view and for the audience. The chances are more equal in MMA. This could turn into a show with a huge global audience."
Jake Paul, who has 12 wins and 1 loss in professional boxing, is ranked 14th in the WBA cruiserweight division. Oleksandr Usyk remains undefeated: 24 wins (15 by knockout) and four belts.
If the parties reach an agreement, the world may witness one of the most unexpected fights in history - the transition of an absolute boxing champion to MMA.
