Azerbaijani UFC fighter Nazim Sadykhov, who won the championship title by defeating his opponent by knockout at the "UFC Fight Night" tournament held in Baku on June 23, met with Azerbaijani and Georgian young athletes in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.
According to the Georgian bureau of "Report", the event was organized at the initiative of Alim Nabiyev, a seven-time world and three-time European champion.
A. Nabiyev stated that the main purpose of the meeting is to increase interest in sports among young people, to inspire them for upcoming competitions and to provide support. According to him, such initiatives both strengthen solidarity among athletes and create an example for the new generation.
Within the framework of the event, Nazim Sadykhov had a sincere conversation with young people, answered their questions and shared his personal experience.
The UFC fighter noted in his interview that he was visiting Tbilisi for the first time:
"The purpose of my visit is to motivate young people and increase their belief in sports and victory. Today, among the Azerbaijanis living in Georgia, there are world and European champions, winners of international competitions. There is also great interest in sports among teenagers and young people. Our goal is to inspire them, encourage them for future victories and raise the Azerbaijani flag even higher in the international arena."
Sadykhov highly appreciated the interest of our compatriots living in Georgia in sports and said that he would support them.
During the meeting, a joint training session was held, and helmets and various sports accessories were presented to distinguished young athletes.
It should be noted that Nazim Sadykhov is one of the first Azerbaijani fighters currently performing in the UFC and successfully participates in international competitions.
