The "Levent Bulut Fight Night – Nakhchivan" kickboxing tournament among children, adolescents, and youth was held at the Olympic Sports Complex named after Ilham Aliyev.
According to the local bureau of "Report", 120 athletes representing 12 clubs from Turkey and Azerbaijan competed for the title in the competition organized jointly by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the Azerbaijan Kickboxing Federation (AKF), and the "Levent Bulut – Nakhchivan" fight club.
At the opening ceremony of the event, Majid Seyidov, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, acting as Minister, spoke about the importance of the competition.
He emphasized that such events play a special role in the development of sports, the expansion of cooperation, and the formation of a patriotic and healthy youth. Majid Seyidov noted that the Ministry of Youth and Sports always supports useful initiatives and wished all athletes success at the end.
Etibar Garibov, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the competition, expressed his hope that the tournament would be remembered for a long time and that the athletes would gain great experience here, and thanked him for his support.
In the athletes' competition, which gave the audience exciting and interesting moments with their determination and technique, Aylin Huseynzade, Ravil Almamammadov, Ugur Aliyev, Asgar Heydarov, Umut Cemal Choban and Ali Huseynov won in the belt fights, and Abulfaz Jafarov, Muhammad Huseynov, Gulay Huseynova, Zenfira Mammadova and Oguz Mammadli defeated their rivals.
A total of 60 meetings were held in various age and weight categories during the fight night. At the end of the meetings, each athlete was awarded. Athletes were presented with cups, diplomas and belts.
It should be noted that Fakhraddin Guliyev, Chairman of the AKF Judges Collegium, was the chief judge of the competition, and at the same time, as a representative of the federation, presented honorary decrees of the AKF to those who contributed to the organizational work of the competition, active coaches and doctors.
