American blogger and professional boxer Jake Paul has offered to fight his compatriot Josh Hook, who competes in the UFC heavyweight division, in a boxing match in Puerto Rico.
Sport.Biz reports that the dispute began after Paul challenged NFL players, saying he would pay $1 million (1.7 million AZN) to any player who could beat him in a boxing match, and in return, Paul would compete against that athlete in an American football game as a wide receiver.
"The referee will be on the internet. I'll send my plane. Who's ready?", Paul wrote.
Hook, who previously played American football, responded to the challenge by saying:
"With all due respect, I'd beat you not only in a boxing match, but in any sport".
Paul then invited the UFC fighter to Puerto Rico:
"I see you're trying to promote yourself. If you want to come to Puerto Rico and have a boxing match, anytime. I'll happily knock you out".
Josh Hook is currently ranked fourth in the UFC heavyweight rankings. The undefeated fighter has won all 10 of his professional MMA matches.
