34-year-old Russian Islam Makhachev, the current UFC welterweight champion (up to 77 kg), has announced the name of the opponent he wants to face next in the North American organization.
Idman.Biz reports that in the title fight in the welterweight division on November 16, former lightweight champion Islam Makhachev won over Australian Jack Della Maddalena.
"I still think Kamaru can beat both Morales and Prates. Usman is the biggest name in the division. Carlos and Michael are young and eager (for a title shot), but Kamaru is still dangerous and one of the best in the game. If you ask me who I want to fight and I had a choice, I would prefer Usman," Makhachev said.
