Gervonta Davis, the undefeated American professional lightweight boxer and world champion in three divisions, has filed a counterclaim against a woman who accused him of domestic violence.
İdman.Biz reports this with reference to TMZ.
According to journalists, Gervonta denies all charges, saying he never hit or detained the woman and calls the incident blackmail: he claims the woman demanded $1.1 million in exchange for dropping the case. He claims the woman was not injured, told her employer she was fine, and they continued to be together after the incident. He also accuses the woman of depriving him of a large fee for the fight with Jake Paul in November.
Davis is seeking $20 million from the woman. Prosecutors had previously dropped all charges against him in one case.
