French UFC lightweight fighter Fares Ziam has challenged Azerbaijani Rafael Fiziev to a fight at the tournament to be held in Baku on June 27.
According to Idman.Biz, the fighter contacted Fiziev via social media and stated his desire to enter the octagon.
"I respect your work, Rafael. But I have a question: will we organize this fight in Baku at the end of June? I'm ready. If the opportunity arises, I'm ready to enter the top ten!", - Ziam wrote.
For the 29-year-old Frenchman, this fight could be a chance to extend his six-fight winning streak. In his last fight, he won by technical knockout (TKO) over Nazim Sadykhov.
Meanwhile, Fiziev lost to Mauricio Ruffi by technical knockout in January of this year.
