Idman.Biz reports that these words were said by Elbrus Rzayev, the head coach of the Azerbaijani national team of male boxers, in his statement to journalists about the results of the U-19 European Championship held in Ostrava, Czech Republic.
The expert stated that the national team performed confidently in the competition: "Athletes from 33 countries were competing for medals. Our team members performed very well in the competition. Bilalhabashi Nazarov (50 kg) made history in Azerbaijani boxing. He won the title of European champion for the second time among local youth. Along with the boys, our girls also showed themselves well. They won silver and bronze awards. We will try to perform well in the next competitions and increase the number of medals".
It should be noted that Azerbaijani boxers finished the tournament with a total of five medals, including one gold, one silver and three bronze.
