The court verdict has been announced in the criminal case against Diego Sanchez, one of the legendary figures of the UFC. The athlete, who was tried in connection with the incident that occurred in July 2025, managed to avoid imprisonment.
Idman.Biz reports that the court sentenced Sanchez to five years of probation and 800 hours of community service. Although the prosecution demanded that he be imprisoned for two years, the judge's decision was more lenient.
Let us remind you that Diego Sanchez was arrested in July 2025 for firing from the window of a car during a traffic incident on a highway in Albuquerque. Speaking at the trial, the fighter stated that he had no intention of harming anyone and called what happened a "crude mistake."
According to the decision, Sanchez is officially prohibited from possessing firearms for the next 10 years. Also, his behavior will be closely monitored during his probation period.
