UFC fighter Ciryl Gane has stated that he will knock out Alex Pereira at the "UFC White House - Freedom 250" tournament in Washington.
İdman.Biz, citing Ringside24, reports that the former interim UFC heavyweight champion said he was not afraid of the Brazilian opponent's striking power.
"Heavyweight is my division. I'm different. Alex Pereira has a very powerful knockout punch, but I'm not afraid of that. I'm going to knock him out," the fighter emphasized.
The fight between Gane and Pereira will be one of the main fights of the "UFC White House - Freedom 250" tournament. In the main event of the competition, Ilia Topuria will face Justin Gaethje, and the Gane - Pereira duel will be for the interim title in heavyweight.
If Pereira wins this fight, he will have the chance to become the first fighter in UFC history to be a champion in three different weight classes. The Brazilian athlete has previously held UFC titles in middleweight and light heavyweight.
Ciryl Gane has 13 wins, two losses and one no contest in his professional MMA career. The French heavyweight has won six of his victories by knockout and three by submission.
