Former UFC champion in two weight classes BJ Penn was arrested in Hawaii on November 4.
Idman.Biz reports that the former fighter is charged with third-degree assault. He was released on $1,000 bail.
The 45-year-old victim stated that Penn punched and kicked him several times before he left the scene and called the police. The victim then sought medical attention.
A police statement said: "At 11:50 p.m., police located Penn on Lehua Street in Hilo, where they arrested him without resistance."
This is the former UFC fighter's sixth arrest in 2025. Penn's arrests begin in May of this year, when he was charged with domestic violence against his mother. He claimed that his current family was fake and had allegedly been replaced by his real relatives by the US government. The athlete's relatives believe he is suffering from mental illness.
