The national team of the "KWU-WFKF" Union operating under the Azerbaijan Karate Federation won 2 medals at the "KWU-SENSHI" (World Kyokushin Union) World Cup held in Varna and Kamchia, Bulgaria.
Idman.biz reports that two of our athletes were awarded in the preliminary stage of the competition, which started on July 6.
Seljan Babayeva (16-17 years old, +65 kg) won a gold medal, and Javid Kazimli (16-17 years old, 75+ kg) won a silver medal.
Azerbaijan is represented by a total of 19 athletes in the competition. 14 of them (in kyokushin karate) have already joined the fight, and 5 athletes will participate in the "SENSHI" competitions among adults. Their performances will take place in the following days.
Our team participates in the competition, which was attended by the national teams of official representative offices of the World Kyokushin Union in 37 countries, under the leadership of Gabil Sayadov, Secretary General of the Azerbaijan Karate Federation, as well as the representative for "KWU-SENSHI".
Currently, training camps and competitions are ongoing. It is expected that the national team will achieve a number of successes in the coming days.
