Jabrayil Aliyev, an Azerbaijani professional fighter in Moscow, has been sentenced to 4 years and 1 month in prison on charges of hooliganism and threatening to kill his daughter.
According to İdman.biz, the Moscow Prosecutor's Office press service reported this.
The athlete will serve his sentence in a general regime penal institution. In addition, the court ordered him to pay the victim 500,000 rubles (10,000 manats) for moral damage.
The investigation found that in July 2024, Aliyev deliberately pushed his daughter down the stairs. As a result, the girl hit the wall. After that, Aliyev hit the girl's head at least twice and her arms about ten times, and threatened to kill her. The fighter then beat his victim again.
According to the prosecutor's office, the verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
It should be noted that Jabrayil Aliyev is a professional martial artist and has performed in MMA tournaments of the "Hardcore Fighting" promotion.
