The fact that Azerbaijani boxers won one gold and two bronze medals at the World Cup in Quyan, China, is a satisfactory result.
This was stated by the head coach of the national team, Nariman Abdullayev.
He said that the athletes did not perform poorly in the tournament.
"The organization of the World Cup was at a high level. Our boxers did not perform poorly in the tournament. We finished the competition with one gold and two bronze medals. All the strong boxers in the world participated in the World Cup. That's why we consider winning three medals a satisfactory result," he emphasized in a statement to report.az.
As you may know, at the World Cup, Saidjamshid Jafarov (75 kg) won gold, Murad Allahverdiyev (80 kg) and Alfonso Domingues (90 kg) won bronze awards.
