The final series of the Azerbaijan Basketball League kicked off in Baku with a tense match. The confrontation between two strong teams became a real dramatic struggle for the fans.
Idman.Biz reports that in the first match of the series, "Sabah" defeated "Absheron Lions" 98:93 on their home court. The match held at the Baku Sports Palace was extremely tense. Although the guests finished the first quarter in their favor, the home team managed to change the course of the game and snatch the victory.
Jan-Mark Pansa, who made a "double-double" with 18 points and 11 rebounds in the winning team, was chosen as the best of the match. His confident game in both attack and defense played an important role in Sabah's victory.
The second game of the final series will take place on the second and third of May. On that day, "Absheron Lions" will host "Sabah". The third meeting is scheduled for the fifth of May and will be held again in Baku. If necessary, additional matches may be held between the teams to determine the champion.
