President of the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation (ABF) Emin Amrullayev met with the Secretary General of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Andreas Zagklis, 3x3 basketball competition manager Yovana Vukoye, and Champions League Commercial Director Benjamin Goute.
Idman.biz reports that during the meeting, the development of 3x3 basketball in Azerbaijan and existing prospects in this field, as well as the participation of young basketball players in the Champions League, were discussed.
The parties emphasized the importance of Azerbaijani clubs participating intensively in international arenas, including the Champions League, in the coming seasons.
They also exchanged views on possible steps to be taken in this direction and potential cooperation opportunities. At the same time, the meeting discussed the organized development of the Azerbaijan Basketball League, improvement of the league's structure, increasing commercial potential, aligning the management and infrastructure levels of local clubs with international standards, as well as the overall development strategy of basketball in the country.
