The U-20 European Championship held in Caorle, Italy, has come to an end.
Idman.biz reports that our freestyle wrestling team won 5 medals at the continental championship.
Our team scored 133 points with 1 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze medals, and became the European runner-up. Georgia (164) took first place, and Ukraine (81) took third place.
It should be noted that under the leadership of head coach Arif Abdullayev and coaches Rovshan Hajiyev and Ashraf Aliyev, Vasif Bagirov (57 kg) won gold, Muradkhan Omarov (79 kg) and Yusif Dursunov (125 kg) won silver, and Omar Gulmammadov (74 kg) and Anar Jafarli (92 kg) won bronze medals.
