U-20 European Championship: Three wrestlers win bronze, two qualify for the final

The U-20 European Wrestling Championship continues in Caorle, Italy.

Bashir Verdiyev defeated Turkish Yusuf Kulalı (5:2) and British Danush Jovkar (14:4) to advance to the semi-finals. He wrestled against Russian Adlan Saytiyev (UWW) in this stage. Losing with a score of 5:15, Bashir will compete for bronze.

Omar Gulmammadov defeated Polish Antoni Mayraka (13:3) and Belarusian Muslim Makhmudov (12:2). Our wrestler faced Italian Raul Caso in the semi-finals. Losing with a score of 5:2, our representative will wrestle for 3rd place.

Mahammad Abbaszade defeated Swiss Nick Scherrer (10:0) and Moldovan Alexandru Borsa (5:2) to advance to the semi-finals. He faced Turkish Ahmet Yağan for a place in the final. Mahammad lost 0:5, losing his chance to win gold.
