Azerbaijani fencer Mirnuray Abasova is confident that she will win a medal at the III CIS Games.
Idman.biz reports with reference to "Report" that the athlete herself informed about this.
She commented on being satisfied with the bronze medal:
"I prepared seriously for the competition. I knew I would win a medal, I had a feeling of confidence inside. I will prepare better for the next competitions to change the standard of my medal to gold. It was difficult for me to beat my opponent in the semi-final because she had more experience than me. Although I was ahead in the score for a long time in the match. But as I said, because the opponent's experience was great, I could not fulfill my desire. In the future, by winning a gold medal, I will raise the flag of Azerbaijan even higher. I thank my coaches for their contribution to winning the bronze medal today".
It should be noted that Mirnuray Abasova lost to Anastasia Zabelina (Russia) in the semi-final of the epee type of fencing competition and was satisfied with the bronze medal.
