The U-15 and Youth European Championship continues in Madrid, the capital of Spain.
Idman.biz reports that Latif Aliyev, one of our athletes, joined the competition in the U-15 category today.
Competing in the 71 kg weight category, our representative won a gold medal by lifting 108 kg in the snatch. Latif lifted 129 kg overhead in the clean and jerk.
In the end, our athlete, scoring 237 kg in total for both lifts, won the silver medal of the European Championship.
