Two Azerbaijani wrestlers won silver medals on the first day of the ranking tournament held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
Lent.az reports that three members of the national freestyle wrestling team took to the mat on the first day of the competition.
Two of them, Islam Bazarqanov (57 kg) and Ali Rahimizade (65 kg), won silver medals. Kanan Heybatov (70 kg) lost in the first stage.
It should be noted that Olympic medalist and European champion Giorgi Meshvildishvili (125 kg) did not participate in the competition due to injury.
