Azerbaijan's traditional karate team took part in the 14th WUKF World Championship held in Romania and achieved successful results in the competition.
Idman.Biz reports that on the first day of the competition, team member Salman Salmanov won the gold medal in the kata among youths and won two gold medals.
On the next day of the championship, two more members of our team rose to the podium. Thus, Alisan Azizov took third place in kumite among youths (18-20 years old), and Anar Alizade took third place in kumite among juniors (14-15 years old).
Thus, the Azerbaijani team has won 2 gold and 2 bronze medals at the 14th WUKF World Championship so far.
The team was prepared for the competition under the leadership of Ahmad Afandi, the head of the traditional karate style, and the 8th Dan black belt holder, and head coach Bahram Hatamov.
