Azerbaijani freestyle wrestlers who participated in the U-20 European Championship held in Caorle, Italy, have returned to their homeland.
"Report" reports that they were met by journalists and public representatives at Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
It should be noted that the team won 5 medals at the continental championship.
Our team scored 133 points with 1 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals and became the second in Europe. Georgia (164) took first place, and Ukraine (81) took third place.
Let us remind you that under the leadership of senior coach Arif Abdullayev, coaches Rovshan Hajiyev and Ashraf Aliyev, Vasif Bagirov (57 kg) won gold, Muradkhan Omarov (79 kg) and Yusif Dursunov (125 kg) won silver, and Omar Gulmammadov (74 kg) and Anar Jafarli (92 kg) won bronze medals.
