Azerbaijan's freestyle wrestling team concluded its performance at the World Championships among wrestlers under 17, held in Athens, with four medals.
Idman.biz reports that on the last day of the competition, our representatives competed for medals in four weight categories.
Two of them - Hasan Hasanov (60 kg) and Said Pashayev (92 kg) won bronze medals.
Earlier, Huseyn Ismayilov (65 kg) became the world champion, and Hakim Taghiyev (110 kg) became a bronze medalist.
The Azerbaijani freestyle wrestling team took 4th place in the team standings with 90 points, only one point behind Kazakhstan. The US team was first (154 points), and Iran (150 points) was second.
It should be noted that according to the number of medals won in all types, Azerbaijan took 7th place with 2 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze medals in the "2025 U17 World Wrestling Championships" tournament.
