Turkish opposite hitter Ebrar Karakurt has left the Russian championship.
İdman.biz reports that the 25-year-old volleyball player had been playing for the women's team "Lokomotiv" representing the city of Kaliningrad since June 2023.
The club made an emotional post on its social media page regarding this: "We wholeheartedly thank Ebi for her great game, her contribution to victories, the championship gold medal, and the Russian Cup! As part of the Kaliningrad team, Karakurt won the Women's Super League and the Russian Cup in 2025, and in 2024 she became the silver medalist of the championship. She is also a winner of the Champions League with "Vakıfbank" and a champion of the League of Nations with the Turkish national team.
