Serena Williams, a 23-time Grand Slam champion, and her sister, Venus Williams, a seven-time Grand Slam champion, will compete in the doubles event at the Cincinnati Masters in the United States.
Sports.Biz reports that the athletes have received a wild card to participate in the tournament. Venus Williams has also been invited to participate in the singles competition.
The Williams sisters, Serena and Venus, are 44 and 46 years old, respectively. They had planned to play together at Wimbledon in 2026, but Serena was forced to withdraw from the tournament due to a knee injury. This tournament will be Serena Williams' first since her return to the sport.
The Cincinnati Masters will take place from August 13 to 23.
