Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic has announced that he wants to continue his career with the aim of participating in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
Idman.Biz reports that the 38-year-old Djokovic is a 24-time Grand Slam champion and the winner of the 2010 Davis Cup. He won a gold medal in singles at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
"I want to play in the 2028 Olympics. This Olympics is a guiding star for me. There are no limits. I love to compete and why not as long as I feel good, my body can handle it and I play at a high level? Longevity is not just about sport, it is also about how you protect your body, mind, energy and time. Billie Jean King once said, 'Pressure is a privilege'. I have always wanted to live up to expectations. So I am grateful to still be here," Djokovic told Punto de Break.
Djokovic has won 101 ATP singles titles in his career and has been ranked world number one for a record 428 weeks.
