Four-time Olympic medalist in figure skating, three-time world and seven-time European champion Evgeni Plushenko has arrived in Baku again. The experienced specialist participated in a figure skating training camp organized in our capital. Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov watched the master class.
Idman.Biz reports that Evgeni Plushenko held master classes for members of the "Ocaq" and "Tamis" sports clubs operating in Azerbaijan at the training camp held at the Ice Arena of the Heydar Aliyev Sports and Concert Complex.

Sharing his impressions after the training, the Olympic champion expressed his satisfaction with being a part of the Azerbaijani team:
"The Winter Sports Federation invited me to help the national team. We have been here for a week and are working with children. I believe that a good team will be formed and successful results will be achieved in stages."

Evgeni Plushenko also spoke about his future plans. He stated that together with Emin Agalarov, they are planning to create a skating and hockey school, as well as an ice arena, in Sea Breeze in the near future:
"I will come to Baku often. I personally train several athletes representing Azerbaijan. I will be here again in about a month and a half and will organize a full master class for the children. Although we are not at the high level we want to be right now, we can achieve this by working together."

It should be noted that the steps taken in recent years to develop winter sports in our country have significantly increased interest in this field.
