Today, the "President's Cup 2026" international regatta in rowing and canoeing is starting, jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Water Sports Federation.
İdman.Biz reports that the tournament will start for the first time at the Sarsang reservoir.
On the first day of the regatta, dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, on April 27, exemplary performances and the first competitions of athletes in academic rowing, kayaking, canoeing, dragon boats and sailboats will be held at the Sarsang reservoir. Scooters carrying the flags of the participating countries will circle on the water.
National music and dance performances will also be demonstrated within the framework of the event.
It should be noted that more than 100 athletes from Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Sweden, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine and Uzbekistan will compete in the "President's Cup 2026" international regatta. The regatta will conclude on May 1.
