A unique event has occurred in the history of alpinism: Russian Rustam Nabiyev has become the first person to climb Mount Everest using only his hands.
Idman.Biz reports that Nabiyev reached the world's highest peak on May 20. He stated that he dedicated this achievement to people struggling with difficulties.
"I dedicate this ascent to everyone who is watching me now. With this step, I just want to say one thing: if you have life inside you, fight. Please, fight to the end! It's worth it!" Nabiyev wrote in his post.

Rustam Nabiyev's legs were amputated in 2015 as a result of the collapse of the barracks. He remained under the rubble for approximately seven hours.

Nabiyev, born in 1992, had previously conquered Mount Elbrus on his hands. He played for the Phoenix hockey club for more than three years.
