The national cup in bodybuilding and fitness was held at the "Jolly Joker Event Hall". At the opening ceremony of the event, the Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, as well as the President of the Azerbaijan Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation Rauf Bunyataliev, delivered speeches.
Idman.Biz reports that after the presentation of the judging panel at the ceremony, the athletes started the competition.
Competition participants are testing their strength in three age groups - youth (up to 21 years), adults (22–39 years) and masters (over 40 years).
