WBC, WBO, WBA, and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk has announced his plans for after he ends his boxing career.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, former undisputed world heavyweight boxing champion, 38-year-old Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk, admitted that he wants to play football after he ends his career.
"Do you have plans after boxing? I will be a footballer. I am a professional player. I already have a contract with the Ukrainian team "Polesie".

Because when I was a child, I went to Dynamo Kyiv stadium with my father for the first time. This is a club with a rich history, but "Polesie" gave me the opportunity and I signed a contract. "Polissya" is a Zhytomyr club that ranks 5th in the tournament table after 16 games in the Ukrainian championship. It is reported that Usyk signed a contract with "Polissya" as a football player in the summer of 2023.
The influential American magazine "The Ring" recognized Oleksandr Usyk as the best boxer of 2024. In 2024, the athlete had two fights, both times his opponent was the British Tyson Fury, and both times the Ukrainian won.
Usyk has won 23 victories in his professional career. He has never faced defeat.
