The federations of Sweden, Finland, and Norway have announced that they will not host the 2027 Bandy World Championship due to financial reasons and the non-participation of the Russian and Belarusian national teams.
According to İdman.Biz, it is proposed that tournaments be held every two years.
As a result, the International Bandy Federation (FIB) decided to cancel the 2027 World Championship for both women and men.
"In the current situation, due to the non-participation of both Russia and Belarus, we see a need for a more sustainable international format," said Daniel Andersson, Secretary General of the Swedish Bandy Association, in a press statement.
