The international rowing and canoe regatta "President's Cup 2026", which will be held jointly by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Water Sports Federation, will start for the first time in the Sarsang reservoir. On the first day of the regatta dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, on April 27, exemplary performances and the first competitions of athletes in academic rowing, kayaking, canoeing, dragon boats and sailing boats will be held in the Sarsang reservoir.
Scooters carrying the flags of the participating countries will circle on the water.
National music and dance performances will also be shown within the framework of the event.
It should be noted that more than 100 athletes from Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Sweden, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine and Uzbekistan will compete in the "President's Cup 2026" international regatta. The regatta will end on May 1.
