The International University Sports Federation (FISU) has announced the participation criteria for the World University Games to be held in the Rhine-Ruhr region of Germany.
Idman.biz reports that students aged 18-25 by December 31 of the year the event is held and nominated by national university sports federations can participate in the Games.
The multiforum will be held in six German cities. The competitions will be hosted by Bochum, Essen, Duisburg, Mülheim an der Ruhr and Hagen, which belong to the Rhine-Ruhr region, as well as Berlin, the capital of Germany.
It should be noted that 8,500 student-athletes from more than 150 countries, including Azerbaijan, are expected to participate in the Universiade, which will be held on July 16-27. They will compete in 18 sports.
