Officials of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) met with the Azerbaijani delegation within the framework of the XXV Winter Olympic Games held in Italy.
Idman.Biz reports that the Vice-President of the NOC Chingiz Huseynzade, the Secretary General of the NOC Azer Aliyev, and the President of the Azerbaijan Winter Sports Federation Fuad Naghiyev visited the Athletes' Village in Milan.
The officials met with members of the delegation residing in the Olympic Village and figure skater Vladimir Litvintsev, who represents our country. Chef de Mission Anar Bagirov gave detailed information about the conditions created in the village, the athletes' preparation process, accommodation and nutrition.
During the meeting, the progress of preparation for the competitions was discussed, and the existing opportunities were positively evaluated. The NOC and federation leadership expressed their belief that our athletes will adequately represent our country and wished them success.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan is represented at the XXV Winter Olympic Games by two athletes – figure skater Vladimir Litvintsev and alpine skier Anastasia Papatoma.
About 3,000 athletes from 92 countries are competing in the Olympiad, which will last until February 22.
