The Azerbaijani national team, consisting of boys in the sabre fencing event, faced the Belarusian team in the 1/4 finals of the team competition at the 3rd CIS Games.
A "Report" employee seconded to Ganja reports that the team consisting of Abbas Huseynov, Nahid Mammadli, Rasul Aliyev and Timur Husnaddinov won with a score of 45:40 and became rivals of the Russian team in the semifinals.
By advancing to the semifinals, the national team secured a bronze medal.
