The European Judo Cup among juniors has started in Berlin, the capital of Germany. On the first day of the competition, the Azerbaijani national team won two gold, two silver, and three bronze medals.
Idman.Biz reports that Nihad Agayev (50 kg) and Farid Khudiyev (55 kg) defeated all their opponents and climbed to the first step of the podium. Ibrahim Talibov (55 kg) and Sunay Salamova (40 kg) took second place and were awarded silver medals. Ilkin Garayev (66 kg), Parvin Sevkhanli (44 kg), and Narmin Agamirzazade (52 kg) were content with bronze medals.
Currently, Azerbaijan is in second place among 35 countries in the overall team standings with seven medals. In the boys' competition, our national team is the leader of the tournament.
