Azerbaijani judokas will participate in the European Cup among youth, which will be held in Graz, Austria. According to Sport24.az, the competition, which will last from May 30 to 31, will be organized by the European Judo Union.
Our country will be represented in the tournament by 26 judokas (16 boys, 10 girls) in 11 weight categories. The team will be led by Rustam Alimli, the head coach of the youth team, coach Elkhan Rajabli, senior coach of the women's team Sasha Herkenrat-Vimar, and head coach of the youth girls' team Elnur Ismayilov.
676 athletes (420 boys, 256 girls) from 34 countries will compete in the international tournament. Arzu Acalova, a member of the refereeing panel of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, an A category international referee, will also be among the representatives of justice in the competition.
