Olympic champion Daria Varfolomeev won two gold medals. The German gymnast won the hoop and ribbon finals.
Italian Sofia Raffaelli, a bronze medalist at the Summer Games, came first in the all-around. Cypriot Vera Tugolukova was awarded the title of winner in the ball exercise.
In group events, all three gold medals went to different countries. Bulgaria won the all-around, Olympic champions from China won the five-ribbon exercise, and Japan took the top spot on the podium in the three-ball and two-hoop exercise.
