Azerbaijan has settled in seventh place in the medal standings at the Universiade held in the Rhine-Ruhr region of Germany.
Idman.biz's correspondent dispatched to Germany reports that the gold medal won by our group team in rhythmic gymnastics all-around has raised Azerbaijan to 7th place in the overall standings.
The team consisting of Laman Alimuradova, Darya Sorokina, Gullu Agalarzade, Yelizaveta Luzan, and Kamilla Aliyeva can continue their success by performing in two more finals today.
In the overall medal standings, Azerbaijan is ahead of Japan, Ukraine, Hungary, Denmark, and a number of other countries.
The USA currently leads the list (5 gold, 3 silver, 8 bronze), followed by South Korea in second place (3-4-2), and China in third place (2-4-2).
