European Championship silver medalist Tofiq Aliyev stopped competing at the Tumbling World Cup held in Coimbra, Portugal.
Idman.biz reports that in the first qualifying round, the Azerbaijani national team athlete took second place, and in the second round, together with his teammate Bilal Gurbanov, he reached the semi-finals, finishing sixth.
In the semi-final stage, four of the eight participants qualified for the final. Tofik finished sixth in the semi-final, and Gurbanov finished eighth, so they were out of the competition for awards.
It should be noted that at the beginning of the year, Aliyev won a silver medal at the world championship held in Baku.
