The Olympic bronze medalist defeated Uzbek Lola Juraeva in the final after the "Cross Battle".
She stated that the victory in Baku is an important step towards the European Championship.
Sofia also spoke about her time after the Olympics: "A week after the Summer Games, I returned to the gym and was very happy to continue practicing rhythmic gymnastics, doing new programs, new exercises. I'm the athlete from last year... the same Sofia!".
It should be noted that the Italian gymnast won in Baku for the second time this year. Before that, she won first place in the all-around competition at the World Cup held at the National Gymnastics Arena.
