These words were said by Selcan Mahsudova, a member of the Azerbaijani national trampoline gymnastics team, while talking about her performance at the European Championship held in Portimao, Portugal.
The athlete, who also spoke about her individual performance, said that she was not dissatisfied with her result.
"I took fourth place in the individual program. Of course, winning a medal is every athlete's goal, but I don't regret my result. Because my rivals were the strongest gymnasts in Europe, and being in the top "four" in such a competitive environment is a good indicator," she said in a statement to AZERTAC.
The gymnast said that this championship was of particular importance to her: "My brother Maqsud and I performed together in the final stage. Competing side by side as siblings in the same tournament, especially in the decisive stage, was a different and memorable experience for us. Supporting each other also had a positive impact on our performance."
It should be noted that Azerbaijani gymnasts finished the European Trampoline and Tumbling Championship with two silver medals.
