Rafael Aghayev, Azerbaijan's most decorated karateka and Olympic silver medalist, will participate in the "Russia Open 2.0" international karate training camp to be held in Sochi from July 22-29, 2025.
İdman.biz reports that the five-time world champion and eleven-time European champion will serve as a kumite instructor at the training camp.
Aghayev's name was mentioned most often in the voting among participants, and as a result, he was invited to the event.
Currently, Aghayev continues his sports career and is the welterweight champion in the "Karate Combat" league, where he has a record of 5-0.
