The opening ceremony of the third international "Challenge" in "Gymnastics for All" was held in Baku.
İdman.biz reports that the event, organized in the Seaside National Park, started with a parade of participating teams.
The teams started from the Baku Sports Palace and marched together with the orchestra to the main stage located behind the Azerbaijan State Puppet Theater.
About 900 participants and 52 teams from 4 countries - Azerbaijan, Georgia, Mongolia and Uganda - took part in the competition, regardless of age and physical fitness level. Azerbaijan was represented not only by teams from the capital, but also by participants from various regions of the country.
Participants demonstrated their skills in two age categories - programs under 50 and over 50 years old. The festival featured master classes, colorful marches of teams, performances in gymnastics for all types, and entertainment programs appealing to the tastes of all age groups.
The purpose of the festival is to prove that gymnastics is not only a sport, but also an example of a healthy lifestyle, as well as a form of entertainment.
It should be noted that the international "Challenge" tournament will end with a Gala show on June 29.
