A meeting of the Council of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) was held in Kavra, Malta.
Idman.biz reports that the President of European Gymnastics Farid Gayibov also participated in the meeting.
At the meeting, the Olympic qualification system for sports gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics and trampoline for men and women for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics was approved. The regulations will be announced soon.
Also, a tender was opened for holding the world championships in sports gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline gymnastics for men and women in 2029, and world championships among juniors.
The FIG Council also approved the proposed changes to the Technical Regulations, as well as the updating of the Disciplinary Code.
