Renowned Israeli gymnast, champion of the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics, Linoy Ashram will visit Baku.
According to Idman.biz, citing the press service of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, she will organize a master class for young gymnasts at the National Gymnastics Arena after the international "Winter Fairytale" tournament.
The master class will be held on December 7 this year at 18:00. The training program will include both theoretical and practical exercises. Ashram plans to share her experience, technical knowledge and subtleties with the participants.
It should be noted that Linoy Ashram will participate as an invited expert in the European Gymnastics training camp in Baku on October 13–19.
Linoy Ashram was born on May 13, 1999, in Rishon LeZion, Israel. She is the first Israeli woman to win a gold medal at the Olympic Games and the first Olympic champion in her country's history in rhythmic gymnastics. At the Tokyo Olympics, she scored 107.800 points in the all-around competition, surpassing Russian Dina Averina.
During her career, Ashram has won numerous medals at world and European championships: silver and bronze in the all-around, as well as awards in individual events. In April 2022, she announced the end of her competitive career.
The Olympic champion's arrival in Baku and master class will be one of the most memorable sporting events of the season, and will also provide great inspiration to Azerbaijani gymnasts.
