New details have been revealed regarding the condition of Italian gymnast Lorenzo Bonicelli, who was seriously injured during competitions at the Universiade in Germany.
Idman.biz reports, citing the website of the Italian Gymnastics Federation, that Bonicelli's condition is stable and his life is not in danger.
He has been taken out of an artificial coma and is showing signs of recovery. The gymnast is currently in intensive care.
It should be noted that the 23-year-old athlete was injured after falling on his neck during the men's team all-around competition in artistic gymnastics at the Universiade. The operated gymnast was placed in an artificial coma.
